My Fathers Gone
Okay let me first say I know tragedy strikes everyone. And the news I received I have been expecting for a while now.
My father has passed away. He has had MS since I was 2. He was never a fighter and gave up when he got the news. My entire life I have watched my father decline in his mobility. By the time I was in the 7th grade he was completely in a wheel chair. My brothers and I made a play day when ever he would get the new model chair we would play in the old one outside, seeing how fast we could roll down the street.
When I was in high school, my father’s memory was going to the point he had no short term memory, not that me and my brother used this. “Yes Mom I told Dad where I was going.”
I haven’t seen my father in years, the last time I saw him, he was a shell, trapped in the mind but unable to move or even talk. At least now he is out of that torture.
